Powdered Laundry Detergent:

2 cups fels naphtha or zote soap
(Freezing the softer soap before grating makes it easier to grate)
1 Cup washing soda
1 cup borax
1 cup baking soda

Mix equally with your regular detergent. Use ¼ cup per load.

Floor Cleaner

Ceramic tile: Mop with a mixture of 1 cup vinegar and 1 gallon warm water to make ceramic tile floors sparkle.

Linoleum and vinyl: Scrub a linoleum floor with a mixture of 1 gallon water and 1 cup vinegar. If floor needs a polish after this use club soda.

3 tablespoons vinegar
½ teaspoon washing soda
½ teaspoon castile soap
Store in a large spray bottle.

Juniper wood

We're going to have a load of juniper wood delivered to our house on 16 October (this Saturday). I need to know if anyone is interested in buying a cord of Juniper wood for $200. I will take orders until the capacity of the truck is reached. Interested parties can either e-mail me (bailebear@yahoo.com) or call me (928-428-3276). Thanks! Becky Clark

Relief Society Activites for the rest of the year!

Just another reminder and some information on our upcoming Relief Society activities.

October 19Th - Take a close look in the hallway to see what we are doing. This night is not about crafts, but learning some new skills to help stretch your dollar. Learn how to make a great laundry soap, cute shirts, hair flowers, skirts, and ties all from stuff you have around the house. Pull out your fabric and make some Christmas presents! I need your money by THIS Sunday please!!!!!

November 9Th - This day will be like a mini super Saturday....we will have things that can be made inexpensively for Christmas gifts. We should have most items displayed this coming Tuesday at our activity. Some of the items include beaded watch bracelets, Gila Valley Temple pictures, and more.

December 9Th - Mark your calendars now for our progressive dinner! We have carefully looked over the school calendars and tried to plan this on a night when most will be able to attend. Be looking for more information. This was so much fun last year!!!!

Any questions? Send me an email!

Thanks,

Leiah & her ever so diligent committee
